Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr, ou Snoop Dog como é conhecido (lê-se Snup Dog, mas muitos escrevem erroneamente Snop Dogy, Snupy Doggy, etc), nasceu em 20 de outubro de 1971, e ficou famoso primeiramente como Snoopy Doggy Dogg. O rapper americano é também produtor e ator, e ficou famoso ao produzir Dr. Dre.

Em 2000, chegou à lançar um filme destinado, digamos, para maiores, que combinava hip-hop com este tipo de material. O resultado? Um grande sucesso, que o levou à lançar Snoop Dogg’s Hustlaz: Diary of a Pimp, assinando como Snoop Scorsese. Em 2005, fundou sua própria produtora de filmes, a Snoopadelic Films. Em 2004, Snoop Dogg se ingressou na Geffen Years, gravadora que lança seus discos até hoje.

Curiosidade: para quem ainda não sabe, Snoop Dogg é primo de Bob Marley, que foi quem o apresentou à música e, porque não, às drogas.
